“The gladdest moment in human life, me thinks, is a departure into unknown lands.” – Sir Richard Burton For a traveller, there is surely no great feeling than discovering a new place. As travelling has always intrigued me, I like to call myself an explorer and look for opportunities to set on a voyage to far off places, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. I was lucky enough to experience that glad moment, as described by Sir Burton, on my latest expedition to Ranikhet in Uttarakhand. Since it was a long ride, it was getting dark before I could reach my destination. Moreover, the exhaustion of riding for more than five hours was compelling me to think about taking a refuge somewhere on the way. Looking at the road signs, I could figure out that there is a resort called Essence of Nature, somewhere at a distance of around 40 km from Jim Corbett National Park. I followed the road signs and reached at a place called EoN Hills, where the said resort is located. I was overwhelmed at the scenic beauty of the place, which was untouched and lesser known among the travellers. Located at a height of 6000 feet from the sea level, at a distance of 310 km from Delhi, the place is a paradise on earth. The resort situated in the hill station is an added advantage for travellers, as it offers world class services and some great delectable dishes from across the globe. The staff at the resort even helped me to look around the place and I could click some pictures of the awesome view of the place. All in all, the place is a must visit, if you are looking to add a new destination to your travel diary.
